New (Old) Stuff Posted at Patreon: Two Banned Works Newly Up for Patrons

I have resumed and (slightly) revamped my Patreon page, and now it's a very simple, streamlined pledge structure: $1 (or more, we accept more) for access to all posts except two things: ebook downloads and the really explicit stuff...
Support the Comics and Writing of John Linton Roberson for only $1!

...which is still a bargain at $5.

Support the Comics and Writing of John Linton Roberson for only $5!

And you can really give anything you like, but it's very simple: those are the only tiers, at $1 you get everything but most of the banned stuff, and at $5 you get complete access, to banned stuff and also downloads of my ebooks, high-res copies, the same quality(and same books in many cases) as I sell at Amazon & Comixology, and you'll get them first, a lot of which have been banned from sale. Much of this is still to be posted but it's coming soon, so collectors and fans, be ready for it!

Why the revamp? I turned 50 on Tuesday and realized I've been doing this on my own a long time. This is my life, for what it's worth. I've grown tired of either having the stuff unavailable, or being forced instead--if I want it available--to post it free on the web.

Not that I mind making work available to you for free, and I always will! But I dislike having no other option with some of my best-known work. I plan to use Patreon to make as much of my work available again for you as possible.

That includes things like my Eros Comix material from 2003-2006, all Vladrushka, and other very explicit work I did till about 2012. It's a little more for a very simple reason: stuff like SUZY SPREADWELL or LULU, or most of what I do nowadays, I can eventually issue in books people can buy, and do presently, and at least try to be paid for my very large amounts of time and work.

Not so with the explicit stuff--much of it has been banned from print-on-demand and ebook platforms for years. I get in frequent trouble, as readers of this blog are well aware, just for the "R-rated" material like those projects. Something like STORY OF OH, or MARTHA (the latter of which Amazon did allow to be up in print and digital for years; used copies are still available there) is completely out of the question, and even trying to fight this has almost gotten me completely banned from such platforms. As I want to be able to sell some of my comics (and my plans have gotten, if not better, a bit more serious), I've toned down considerably since 2011, into things they'll let me print.

But I would like to make something from all that work I did before that has even been written about; cartooning is fun but it's hard and I spend most of my life on it, and yet at the same time I have to have a day job because I don't make my living from this stuff (like more cartoonists than you imagiue do), because sadly, not enough of you buy it. Maybe, someday, I would like time to bring a new Vladrushka story or something else that explicit to you again. But that takes as much time as to do something I can put in a book, so I don't bother. (and Patreon demands anything "mature" or "adult" be patron-only anyway)

But I want it available for those who want to read it, censorship or not. Patreon gives the closest to a solution, where you get the stuff (for very little!) and I get some support that helps me keep doing this. And at a low price you get access to massive troves of old and new work, and you get to know you helped make it happen!

Hence the "Banned" level of $5: a chance for you to go around the censors. And there's a lot of stuff that hasn't been seen in years, and even stuff that's never been seen because I abandoned it in favor of LULU. I posted two last night, 52 pages in all!

In both I include background details on the stories unavailable to anyone but patrons.  And of course, both are quite, quite filthy, and quite fun, from the period I was still going that far. Because I was being paid to and published then! And with your generous support, perhaps not all my work will have to be dine with the censor in mind.

More coming soon, so to see it, whatever level you choose, be sure to subscribe today!

Also, if you despise my work and want to stop it forever, you're in luck! There's a tier for you too!

John Linton Roberson will gladly accept your money to stop drawing--at the right price!
