SUZY SPREADWELL: Ink Stage for New Painting
I've started another of those cheerfully blasphemous paintings of Suzy. I am not sure you can really call them paintings when there's an india ink drawing at the core of it, but that's what I'm calling it. You can also buy the last two I did (plus some sweet Vladrushka original art as well) at Ebay this week. (and they can be viewed here at her refurbished site)
Mainly, I scanned the drawing in case I fuck up the painting. I can salvage it digitally if so. I've been lucky with watercolor and gouache so far, but I'm still learning this shit. There is ALWAYS a chance I will destroy it.
The sketch pose started from this William Mortensen photo.
