HIGH-RISE - Clint Mansell Complete Soundtrack (2016)
A movie I cannot wait to see of my favorite Ballard novel
. (I'm not sure ATROCITY EXHIBITION counts as a "novel" in the same way) Here's a playlist of the complete soundtrack by Clint Mansell, whom you may know as a frequent collaborator of Darren Aronofsky.
Incidentally, I've listened to the audiobook version read by the film's Laing, the incredibly talented Tom Hiddleston, and I highly recommend it; possibly the best audiobook I've heard, and as I listen to them a lot when drawing, I know whereof I speak.
And if you're not familiar with J. G. Ballard's HIGH-RISE, I'll just leave you with this opening sentence:
, you may know the "Zero Democracy" storyline. Somewhat inspired by Ballard's novel, it seems to me. In a good way.
