By way of my friend Brook, here's a quick sign of just how negligent our government is and how terrified of the NRA they are--more than they are of ISIS:
But we have to keep our homicidal maniacs happy or they might shoot, right?
Funny thing too: I wonder where all the gun proponents are when these incidents happen, as they always sound so brave in their pro-gun rhetoric, like someone like them is the only defense against this. Seems to me they all run to their keyboards at moments like that.
Partly because most are mentally-undeveloped cowards and bullies who simply get off on carrying guns in public places and intimidating people; partly because some of them are the shooters, and partly because the last fucking thing cops would want is another gun nut vigilante in the midst of this anyway.
The only thing gun proponents are concerned about right now is protecting their gun rack, and any number of lives are worth that for them.
I think the gun lovers have had their say. They're repeating themselves. Let's stop talking to them or taking their opinion into account.
The GOP again offer prayers. Praying is not enough, and not an excuse to do nothing. Pray if you like, after actually taking some kind of action. None of us need to hear about it so you can take undeserved pride in your words to someone who obviously isn't fixing it, whether he exists or no.
And GOP--in your case, fuck your prayers, because coming from you they are worse than nothing. They are stalling. They are mockery of the dead. If you really believed in God you'd already have done something out of fear of what waits for you after your inevitable death.
