While I am voting for Obama because really, the alternative is utter shit rather than partial shit, I also would say that I'd rather be voting for this mystic chess-playing Obama so many of his less critical supporters believe in than the feckless failure we have in reality.
So many think he's saving all his good stuff for the second term, forgetting how he wasted having all of Congress at the crucial moment he needed it, in a blind hope he could win over the GOP, who gleefully took advantage of his catastrophic naivete. And yet he said that he'd rather be a one-term president and accomplish his goals--but didn't really try to, did he? Not the way another president with similar circumstances would have.
The Obama you imagine is at best a tease. The Obama you have is not all that great. Never project your hopes on a president. Grow up. You hold their feet to the fire and MAKE them carry through on what they say. Always. A president is not there to be a symbol, he's there to do the job. ___________________
...and you can watch/listen and even download here! I bought my copy of the audio/video of #27(Dave Sim reads it aloud and it's FUN), so you do the same. It's only a measly buck and they take Paypal. Also, you get the comic in PDF, Epub and CBZ versions--which include a massive amount of unseen archive material, like rare sketches, the notebooks, letters and more! And for those who might be tempted to put these on BitTorrent or the like, and steal the bread from Dave's (and all the Kickstarter donors') mouth: please don't be such an asshole. Save that for Marvel or DC, who don't need the dough. Just buy it. ___________________
