All The Eggs In That Basket Done Cracked
Giuliani, who staked everything on Florida(and am I right in what I heard last night on the news that they in fact lack delegates, and if so, what the hell was he thinking?), has been crushed like the bothersome bald bug he is.
America breathes with that much more relief, and the ghosts of the 9/11 NY dead break Rudy's eardrums with laughter. And America's mayor will now retire to some dark corner, muttering "9/11" to himself. As in:
"Before 9/11, I might have stood a chance."
"9/11 has devoured me whole."
"Hey--Maybe I should have said something besides 9/11."

President Obama?
Mebbe. Mebbe not. We'll have to see what happens in New Hampshire, but Obama kicked both Edwards and(thankfully) Clinton's asses tonight in Iowa, and he's looking more the part of the president every minute. I'm just glad to see Hillary at least shown that this job is not hers by dynastic right.
The media seem to be trying to build up momentum for Obama, now that he's proven it's not impossible for him to win. The question now seems who's going to be the running mate. I'd have assumed Edwards, but he might have made that less possible by not congratulating Obama. But I cannot imagine Hillary accepting VP; that is, unless she had a sinister plan in mind.
What I like at the moment about the idea of an Obama candidacy is that the Republicans have been preparing for her all this time, with their constant, "Oh, please, don't nominate Hillary, she terrifies us!" reverse-psychology crap. But they've had far less time to prepare for Obama. Think of Lawrence of Arabia, and the capture of
Aqaba, where the Turks had welded their guns in place, facing in the wrong direction.

Oh, SketchFirst new art of 2008. This will be polished into the cover image for the first issue of a print version
This Sickness(to feature my two collaborations to date with good ol' Charles Alverson,
Story of Oh! and
Rapunzel),
if I trick a certain POD site into it...more news if it develops.

And if I
do, you're all going to
buy it, of course. Uh-huh.
Update: here's the digitally-inked version.
