Wait For The Helicopters On Roofs
The way it ended last time we had
been this stupid this long.
Only a few days after John McCain(whose presidential chances are now toast, and I'm not sad to see the spineless, opportunistic, unprincipled fork-tongued hypocrite humiliated, and so very quickly) pronounces the Green Zone in Baghdad safe, Parliament, in the heart of said zone, is savagely bombed, killing, at this writing, three MPs. And this suicide bomber would have had to pass through many, many checkpoints.
If anything proves that not only are we losing Iraq, we can't even defend the ground we hold, this is it. And as long as we remain, more lives, Iraqi and American, will be simply wasted, just so Bush can maintain a pointless foothold near Iran.
And in the end we'll have to leave anyway. The only difference between doing it now and doing it later is the number of deaths.
Imagine this was your daughter. This is you doing this. And me. And all of us. And this is all that we are definitely accomplishing.
How will we ever atone for what we let happen?
