The Problem of No Sense of Irony
Democrats are telling Katherine Harris they hope she wins her current race. (As it happens, they're the only ones who do) But I don't think she understands why they would say that.
But Jesus Christ, she had better not win just the same.
Democrats are telling Katherine Harris they hope she wins her current race. (As it happens, they're the only ones who do) But I don't think she understands why they would say that.
“I’ve had Democrats in the House of Representatives come to me and say ‘You know, we’d really like to take the majority in the U.S. Senate’ — these are Florida Democrats in the U.S. Congress — ‘but you’ll do so much more for us if you’re there. We hope you win,’” Harris told a crowd gathered at the Putnam County Shrine Club.Sure they do. After all, who could do a better job showing the GOP at its worst than she? She'd be the GOP equivalent of Hillary Clinton or Ted Kennedy: something that rallies the base and motivates them to contribute to the party.
But Jesus Christ, she had better not win just the same.
