Peter Jennings R.I.P. The only network anchorman I've had any respect for, or trust in, since Cronkite retired, Peter Jennings of ABC, has died of lung cancer at the age of 67, just a few months after he announced he was sick. I'm quite sad about this. Jennings was a man of wit, insight, and decency, and the networks' slow slide downward will no doubt continue unabated with him gone. May he rest in peace. And I suspect at this point that Cronkite is going to bury them all.
